Raed Diab

I have completed my Ph.D in physics from the University of Florida, focusing on high-precision optical interferometry and experimental physics. My research primarily revolves around improving measurement techniques in optical systems, with particular attention to RF Jitter Alignment Sensing (RFJAS), mode mismatch sensing, and quantum squeezing—especially within the context of the LIGO gravitational wave detector. My work aims to push the boundaries of precision measurement in optical cavities and contribute to cutting-edge experiments in gravitational wave detection and optical interferometry.

When I’m not in the lab, I’m deeply engaged in scientific computing, optical simulations, and automation. I enjoy using tools like LabVIEW, COMSOL, and Zemax to build custom experimental systems and improve measurement precision. Whether I’m optimizing experimental setups or analyzing complex data, my goal is always to advance the field of high-precision measurement techniques. Feel free to get in touch with me via email or connect with me on LinkedIn.
